FWIW, I'll never own another black vehicle. I had a black Range Rover once. Looked fantastic, but I got so tired of washing it! Plus it looked horrid when it was dirty. The most 'forgiving' color is silver. Looks great dirty, looks even better clean.

Oh, and yes- you should buy a Countryman.

I used 3/8" Plywood. The fabric is a heavy black velor over quilt batting. I covered the back with an old fleese blanket.

How do you get the rear seats to fold so far down?

The dark band at the far end in the photo is a strap that uses the tie-down located at the seat base. Kneel on the platform and cinch up the strap.

I spent most of my summers at the in-laws house at Barnes Landing before moving to Texas. You have some great roads to motor on before all the tourists come.
