Relative Newbie
Greetings, everyone! I'm new to the forum but not new to Minis. Unfortunately I no longer own a Mini (it wasn't mine to begin with in all reality, but I'll get to that), but hopefully that'll change relatively soon. I'm 18 years old, a senior in high school, and live in north-central Texas. Not all that new to cars in general, though, and I consider myself of a moderate knowledge about mechanics and such. That said, life is about the pursuit of knowledge, so I'm always willing to learn something new from those in the know. 
Which is why I've come here. Like I said, I've parted with my Mini, at least for the time being. It was my father's car, but it got to the point where I was the only one that drove it since he worked out of town and just took the shuttle to the airport. But sadly in October he traded it in to purchase a new 2007 C6 Corvette (which I do still get to drive, so not a total loss 
). But for my first car that I will purchase myself, I cannot deny all the fun I had in my (dad's) Mini, so I have every intention of getting another. It was an 2003 MCS, BRG, 6spd, all necessary goodies like climate control and the harman-kardon audio system. 
Great car, I miss it.
Being the type to fantasize more than a little bit and attempt to plan out future courses of action, I'm already making plans and doing research for my list of mods I plan/hope to do to my car when I do get it. So I'll probably be around asking technical questions and looking for opinions and suggestions. Well, that's me, I look forward to making some new friends around here, and thanks for having me!
