you are waiting!!! That is crazy talk! I got bit by the bug and went our and got one about a week later. I had to make a concession and get a heavily discounted new 06 as opposed to my perfect 07. I so made the right decision Good luck

Welcome to NAM. Hope the time passes swiftly. It isn't for me. Er, I mean my wife's MINI.

 

I'd order now. The longer you wait, the more you talk yourself into features you might think you can live without now. I'm so glad that my wife and I order at the dealer right after our test drive. We stretched our budget, but not as much as I would now after spending weeks on NAM.

I can hear me now - what's another couple grand for great leather seats? My gosh that nav system is cool. etc., etc. etc...

The only thing I added to our original order was rear fogs - only $100.

Go for it! You'll love it! If you're like me perhaps you'll love it a bit too much. Yes modding has made the wallet lighter and the VISA bill is heavier. But, the MINI is even more fun - if that's possible! What I didn't anticipate is that the mod bug, once it bites you, may spill over into other vehicles. Beware! FUN! FUN! FUN!

 

I hope you survive the production wait better than I did. It was awful. I TOTALLY can relate to having a drug addiction after that! Whew...Glad it's over!

Welcome to NAM and the obsession! You are fortunate that you only have 2 or 3 months to wait for your MINI. I still have about a year. :D

 

I understand in some way...I have to wait a few more months before I order my R56 Cooper. As it is I visit the dealership each weekend so look (lust) at them. On the up sdie, I already have a prefectly good Cooper to motor in. It also helps that there are no standard Coopers yet....and my color is not available yet.....and a few other options aren't available yet. So....waiting is good!! At least that's what I keep telling myself.

 

Welcome! Pretty soon you'll start to find that all your clothes match the color of your car and you'll start using words that only other mini owners know, like bonnet, boot, etc....mini's are so much fun!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am new to NAM and wanted to introduce myself. I live in the New Orleans area and am a long time sports car enthusiast. My wife and I just ordered a 07 chili red and white S to go along with our 04 Mazda RX8. We can't wait for the car to arrive and hope to gain some insight into the Mini World!!! We are obsessed as well. Most of our time is spent checking on MINI Things. Oh the wait....

Welcome to the obsession. After you get your MINI, you will also become obsessed with cleaning it (I know I did). I can't go a week without washing/waxing/hydro-ing, etc. It's crazy! But man, my car sure looks good!!!!

 

It's funny, I too have become obsessed with this little car. Not only that, I spend way too much of my free time in this damn forum!

 

LOL! I think I can relate to spending too much time on here! you find out all kinds of interesting stuff though, so it's not like we're wasting time, lol.
