Hello all,

I am new to the board.. hence why I am posting in this page.

I live outside of Toronto and am just starting to get into the market for a MINI. I am currently doing research on the car, and collecting info on which one I want to buy.

My fun factor is currently a motorcycle 2003 Honda CBR 600 RR.
I have a crappy car for the winters but I am looking for a car I can comute with and do some track days for fun.

I look forward to spending countless hours searching the Forum and asking a few questions as I go.
But I promise I will search before I ask...

goodluck man. i did a fair share of research myself. did help that g/f's dad use to build them so i was lucky there.

Hello sir, if you're looking to get a commuter car, mini is good on gas and fun and all, but if you're in stop-and-go traffic a lot, don't buy a manual Mini, I've heard of (and have) many problems with the clutch and manual transmissions. But if you just wanna go and not stop have fun!

 

well that is not good, I encounter stop and go traffic for 40 km of my 100 KM driving every day....

 

Earlier years are worse then newer ones for that clutch issue.
