How Sweet It Is!!

I picked up my MCS this afternoon!!

2005 Mini Cooper S
Dark Silver Metallic with Black roof and mirrors
Panther Black Leather
Premium Package
Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
Cockpit Chrono Package
12,000 miles

Much more fun to drive than the Touareg(a nice vehicle) I traded in.

I'll post pictures as soon as my wife returns with our digital camera.

Plans:
Autodimming/Homelink mirror
Rear fog light/switch
DICE Ipod connection
Various interior accessories
Winter tires on 16" steel wheels

Questions:
It looks like they will have to do the TSB for a rattling flywheel. Since they have to drop everything to do it, I'm guessing this would be a good time to add the LSD. Anyone have this done in this situation? What did the dealer charge?

Based on various threads here, I'm assuming that the mirror power plug is in the headliner, and everything is pre-wired for the rear fog. Is there any way to confirm?

While she can drive a manual, she has no interest. She gets the 99 Passat. Won't even drive it with Tiptronic, even though she says it can be a bit dogged at times.

She will get our next tow vehicle. May end being another Touareg. We will have to see what is out in the next couple of years. The Treg is the best tow vehicle I've owned. It just gets horrible mileage.

Depends on the build date month, easiest way IMO to know for sure is just plop yourself down there and take a looksee with a flash light or push the plug out (incredibally easy to do) and you should see the wire there. Odds are you have it but it is worth it to check

Here are some pics. It's been gloomy and raining, so I just took them inside.

welcome to NAM and the MINI cult (the international church of the perma smile). Another club/forum to look in to is Sota MINI's. their next big event is in may, the New London to New Brighton tour/rally.

Thanks Qtip. I found that site last week. I registed over the weekend, and look for to joining in some of the fun.

Since we finally got some snow, I REALLY need my snow tires this week. I let me nephew take it out around the block. He is still pretty green driving a stick, and the Mini had too much power for him to move with the stock runflats.

He still was impressed, compared to his 1990 Toyota pickup.
