Installing a V1 radar detector/track pads for JCW brakes

Hello: I've had my 06 Hyper Blue S with all the JCW stuff for about 6 weeks, and have a couple of questions that I hope to get some help with. First, I NEED to install my V1 detector. I want to hardwire it, and am looking for some advice on hooking up the hot lead. Any thoughts? Also, I got the JCW brakes, which is starting to look like not a great idea, as I'm not finding any aftermarket track pads (I haven't started calling anybody yet). Any hints here as well? Thanks in advance for any replies.

No problem, I kinda knew which ones to weed out before hand too, so I saved you some reading. As far as JCW Brakes there aren't any aftermarket apds that I know of as of yet, however they are capable track pads stock as the larger size does a significantly better job dissipating heat, just make sure you upgrade to the Moutl or ATE Superblue DOT 5 before hand and oyu should be ok there (but expect to be clening some dust off the whels afterward.

The stock pads were outgassing so hard on my last track day that I blew a couple of corners (turn HARDER! COUNTERSTEER! MASH THE PEDAL!) - still fun though. I'll keep looking, though - I found that a certain volvo caliper fit my 914 for bigger brakes, and have also found bigger calipers for my rear brakes when I upgraded brakes to C2 calipers on my 911SC track car. If I'm lucky enough to find something, I'll pass it on. Thanks again for your help - I really appreciate it.
