Run-flat indicators

I just purchased my first 2002 mini cooper S about 3 months ago. I love the car, however in that time i have had it the run-flat indicator has gone off twice due to a minor pressure difference in one tyre (3 psi difference). Is the run-flat indicator normally this sensitive?
It seems like every few weeks the sensor is triggered which results in another trip to the mini garage to have the computer reset, which i'm getting a little tired of! If anyone could tell me if they are having similar problems it would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

The indicator is looking at rotational differences between the wheels not specific tire pressures, as any change in the pressure will change the diameter of the tire and subsequently its relation speed. You may want to check all pressures and then reset the indicator as per the manual and see if that resolves it. If it continues to false alarm, you may need the dealer to look into it.
