H82WRK, about 6k for my trade-in. Enough to make a difference. They can't even start working on the repairs until Wednesday, and then it will be at least two weeks.

Anybody know where your MINI's are now? Some of us week 45-ers should be taking delivery soon! Who will be first?

 

For us West Coasters the Tombarra crossed the Panama Canal yesterday and is in the Pacific Ocean today... so we still have a couple of weeks yet. Sorry to hear about your trade in! What a bummer!

My MA called and said my MINI would arrive at the dealer on Friday!!!

Too bad I can't get it until my trade-in is repaired.

The good news is...our MINIs are on their way! Whooppee!!!

 

Twinkletoes, ouch 6K on the trade, you are right that is enough to make a difference. Good thing is you have them locked on that number and they can't tell you it is worth less now that it was involved in an accident Trying to think positive for ya. It may even get done sooner than originally thought.

I was told my Mini is to arrive at the dealer on the 4th which is Monday. I am not betting on anything though I would love to be driving my Mini next weekend to my sister's home in Athens!

For us west-coasters: I just checked 2wglobal.com and the Tombarra is picking up steam! It is now due in port on the 5th

(un)fortunatly I found a buyer early for my Junker so I have to figure out how to get to work for a couple of weeks At least my wife only works 3 days a week so I guess I can ride public transportation for a coupla weeks.

Nice especially now that the port delay has been cleared up

 

The port has been cleared up? Whats that mean? I was on the Don Juan that arrived on the 28th but my MA is telling me to expect delivery on the 15th. Do you think earlier?

 

Apparently BMW delivered a few 335i Sedans that didn't meet the emission requirements (I don't know the exact specifics). So they had to do a quick fix for all the cars at port which held up all other BMW's and MINI's. All I know is a month ago it was backed up pretty good adding a good 2 weeks. Now apparently it's back to normal. I don't see why your car would take over two weeks to get to you. Time will tell. Hang in there... I have a week on top of you!

The Mini's on the Tombarra should be unloaded by tomorrow evening!
Now we will see how quick the VDC is!

 

Speed Racer - My RG/S MC was on the Don Juan also. Last Thursday, I was told to hope for this weekend for delivery. I'm in LA, so I hope the trip to the dealer is quick. Really want the new car for a road trip to Berkeley in mid-December.

 

I saw it in person yesterday, very sweet lookin' MINI! I loved the chrome mirror covers! Congrats on the sweet ride!

 

The thing that really bums me out is that I have no date to look forward to. You would think that they would have a little better customer service to track the car. I have waited since April when I originally put a deposit on the car so it has now been 8 months for me. Oh well, like the saying goes, its better to be pissed off than pissed on!

Originally my local dealer didn't have any allotment left for the 06. The rest just seems to be the West Coast Curse.

 

Woo Hoo! My MINI was unloaded at 7:30 this morning and will hopefully make a speedy trip thru the VDC...

H82WRK where'd you go? We know you are off motoring in your new MINI! Throw us some piccys pleeeeeease?

 

I hope that you guys have better luck than I am. My car was unloaded on the 28th and then delivered on the 29th. Unfortunately, I can't get any new updates. The OL still says "en route" and my MA can't find the car either. Sometimes I fell like telling them to keedp the car. I really don't understand why they can't put a better tracking system in place.
