Finding parts for classic minis

I Am Having A Major Problem Finding The Proper Mini Part.
I Bought What I Thought Was A 1975 Mini Morris. So Far, I Can't
Seem To Located A Starter Motor That Matches The One That Was
In It. They May Have Changed The Engine Block. Anyway, It Is Cone-shaped On One End, If That Helps. Thanks !!!!!
Mike

hello Mike,

There are only two types of starter for the mini,
The way to tell, is the small gear, some starters have the gear close to the starter body, and the gear goes away from the starter when engaged,
the other ones, the gear comes towards the starter body.
The other option is to have the one you have rebuild.

Let me know if this helps you.

Victor

Take a photo and post it here but it sounds like a pre-engaged starter.

My favorite shop for classic stuff is www.heritagegarage.com
