I am picking up "The Black Pearl" tomorrow, I cant wait,

 

We were supposed to pick up Chequers today, but our MA, believing we wouldn't be able to go in until Friday, took the day off. :impatient I will pick up Chequers tomorrow or die trying!!!

I stopped by to try to see him today, but he wasn't around; the MA there said he was probably getting washed or still having accessories installed.

I will post pictures once we FINALLY get our little cutie!

Finally took delivery of the MINI tonight! Unfortunately it is downpouring around these parts so I only have a couple of pics from inside the dealer.

Drove home in a thunderstorm but well worth it!

Will post better pictures as time permits!

seriously... MA's must have the easiest job in the world! the cars sell themselves, they seem to get plenty of time off, and they get to hang out with MINIs all day! where do i sign up?

Well I do have a name - "Bones" since I have very few options installed on this baby, it's light and sweet!


Chequers - you are going to love Chequers once you finallly take delivery today, it was well worth the wait for me!

I wanna become an MA too! Considering I just got laid off from a company that is "Big" and matches the colour of my car, I'm looking to get out of high-tech!

So happy for you guys who finally get to drive your babies!!! Motoring for the last week has been a blast. She's 1/2 way to being broken in! Hehehe...

 

I am happy, and jealous, of all who have been able to motor around in their new Minis. My wait is coming to a close, KPMINI has been in the VDC since Tuesday. He will be here anytime now.
I hope that everyone will post picture, when they get a chance, this helps me in my wait. nejhad - Bones looks great congrat's. orlt - Where are the pictures, 1/2 way through the break in I can only imagine the excitment you are going through. Please post some pictures thanks.
I will keep everyone informed and have the camera in hand when I get to finally pick up KPMINI.

I got "the Black Pearl" tonight, she is amazing, but I am still getting used to driving a manual so we a still a little uneasy around each other like any young couple

I heard MINIs are forgiving...

I picked up my JCW today and after driving it back (on my new winter tires)... it did seem very comfortable.

I have the 6-spd manual... so I moved up from a 5-spd manual civic. It will take you no time to get used to the speed where your gears redline...

It was very difficult for me to "take it easy"... I'll have to do that for the first 1300 miles or so... I guess I'll concentrate on learning the features and locations of the controls. Can't wait until I can fully utilize the tach.

Yeah it is much more forgiving than what I learned on, A Ford Explorer, but I have never had a new car so that makes me nervous

 

I am glad that all of you have gotten your new additions. I am patiently waiting a little longer.

Well the wait is over, we picked up our Mini on Saturday. I love it, my wife was skeptical at first but she's taking it to work today so I think it's growing on her already . For a brief moment these three spent some quality time together then I sold the Miata I'm going to miss that car I had a lot of fun with it. The Mini is great though and I'm already loving all the space inside. Thanks for the support and don't worry if your's isn't here yet it can't be too long now!

Well my wait is almost over.:impatient :impatient KPMINI is on a truck to the dealer and should be here any day now. could take delivery as soon as Friday.
I am really excited that my wait is almost over. This has been a really new experience for me and I am glad that I had all of the Week 42ers to help me through it.

OK OK. I know that the holiday's are just around the corner. I also know that a lot of this week has the privilege of already motoring around in their new MINI's.
I would just like to keep this thread off of the 2nd paage until every, including me, has taken delivery of there new addition.
By the way I do not believe that all of you the that have taken delivery have post picture, or links to pictures, or mentioned that those picture are in their gallery.
So let get on here and keep supporting those of us that are still waiting.

Ok guys, as promised here are some more pics of "Bones". I have been having a blast during my first full week motoring. I already have close to 700 miles! Also I did my first and perhaps only mod - I had the windows tinted last Tuesday. I have to say that it makes the MINI look great! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive way to improve the already fabulous looks of your MINI.
