Hello All,
I just placed my order for 06 MCS in BRG/W haven't gotten my production date yet, but I've been told it will be here late November or early December.
I'm coming over from Volkswagen land...I just sold my 78 Scirocco and I'm the process of selling my 95 Jetta GLX. I was planning on buying a 07 GTI but I'm not in love with the MKV body style and after test running the MINI, I was hooked.
I'm in the US Army in Germany so she'll get to see the Autobahn to start off life.
See you on the road.

Hi, welcome to NAM, and congrats on the car - nice color choice. Don't blow the break-in too bad, tough w/ the autobahn so close. When you order a car over there, do you have/get to choose the driver side?

I ordered it through the BMW Military Sales program; they only sell US Specification through it.

The Autobahn....nice. There's now a speed limit on parts of the Autobahn....a 90mph speed limit.

Enjoy your MINI on the Autobahn.

Most of the Autobahn around here is limited to 130 km/h which is 80 mph. When you get into any of the larger cities it is down to 120 km/h. The days of long runs of unrestricted speed on the Autobahn are just about over, if you get into an accident over 130 km/h you will be held responsible as well as the other driver because of excessive speed. It looks like a national 130 kph speed limit will installed in the near future.

Congrats Nice welcome from a newly departed Squid.

I ordered mine on Saturday (7 OCT 06), it was an early birthday present, birthday Sunday (8 OCT 06.)

I got an '06 MCSa BRG/W , Sports PKG, bonnet stripes, 17" S-lites run-flat Hi-Perf tires, Convenience PKG, NAV, OBC, rear foglights, H/K Sound System, Black & Tan Leather, Saddle bags, and 6 disc changer.
Said should be here around the 1st week in December so he will be an early Christmas present.

Have a great time with your new Mini on the autobahn.

- KP

I had a 300ZX on the German Autobahns. I think your MCS will be even more fun than that car.

Just keep the front end on the ground and you'll be fine. I almost went airborne one day, front end started to lift up on me as I was going about 210 kph. Talk about your heart skipping a beat... woooooooo.

Make sure you post some pics of your new baby when you get her !! We looooooooove pics.
