I Got My MINI!!!!!!
I Got My MINI!!!!!!
Well, I got my new 2006 Pepper White MCS MINI. As some of you know the last 2006 MINI I purchased had several problems and MINI was cool enough to take it back and return my money. I bought the last one from Assael MINI in Monrovia and I would advise everyone never to do business there. Very bad all around.
The new MINI was had with a great deal of help from the MINI Western Regional manager Claude Bruni. A truly great guy who went out of his way to really help me with not only buying back the last car but by also going out of his way to make the purchase of the new one a great experience. I also want to put in a great word for South Bay MINI and MA Amanda White for all the help and great service I received through them. If you're in the market for a new MINI or BMW for that matter I can't say better things about the South Bay MINI dealership. I've never been treated better by a car dealer. Great people.
I'm thrilled to have the new car it's beautiful and drives like a dream. I do have one little problem with it that I wonder if someone could help me with. Something seems to be dripping on the hatchback right below the rear windshield wiper. It's kind of goopey and has left a brown line down the hatch below the chrome trim right above and below the MINI emblem. I'm not sure if it's glue from beneath the chrome or something from the wiper. But it's left a mark that will not come off (looks as though it's permanently discolored the paint) and seems to continue to leave some goop back there. Luckily because I've now caught any more of it in time it hasn't left any more brown spots. I've tried everything to remove the brown line in the paint including clay and wax. Have you every heard of this happening and how do I stop it? Also do you have any idea how to clean that area? I've left a couple messages with Amanda and hope to hear back from her or the detailing department for any info soon.
Thanks to everyone here that's been so much help through my MINI escapades. How this finds you well and enjoying your MINI as much as I am.

Its your rear washer fluid. Clean it off as soon as you can, it will stain your PW. You need to have the dealer re-route the resevour. There are other posts about this on NAM. A quick search should help you find what you need. Search for something like rear washer stain. Congrats on the new MINI
Isn't that stuff cosmoline? I heard it gets under the plastic and in crevices and it can later ooze out. I've found it in quite a few places on my new MINI. In some spots on the plastic trim I had to use Simple Green to get it off. When I clayed the car the stain came off of the paint.
