Boneman is now our shaman, look to him for furthure enlightenment of the MINI expereince. Merlin will be here but on a quest of his own in the high Rocky Mountains.
We are W3606, we are the Mystic MINIs. Sooner than we thought but not soon enough.
So Mote it Be
brilliant...
I haven't been triple dog dared in a long time!!
I called in sick today.... bad girl. bad! But, I do have to ready my home for the termite tent tomorrow. Ugh. You know, some people in wk 37 (east coast) are receiving their cars. Does anyone know if the person from wk 34 every received his MINI? Maybe that silver one was his?
I think I will call SB today to see if there is any word.
I am supposed to call SB in a couple of hours. The manager said she could tell by the codes where exactly the car was. She said they received 3 truck loads of cars yesterday. Woo hoo. Maybe mine is on one of those trucks!!
Oooooh I'll cross my fingers for you!
I'm thinking about "bothering" my MA today, which I've never done. I want to go get the paperwork nailed down before I pick it up, do you think that's possible? Like honestly, I'd hand him a check today, if it meant it would get it all over with...

I talked to my MA yesterday and he said my MINI was at the VDC and to expect it in about two weeks. That included tranport time to Denver.
He is also going to try to let me trade out the S-lites for 16" wheels and all season runflats.

well, maybe a little bit when it comes to major purchases. I am sure my MA wished I was more like you!
I am not so patient.
I AM OCD! Haha...I think I just want this over with, and I want to be able to strong-arm some stuff out of my MA BEFORE my car gets there and I'm all excited and can't think straight!
So, I spoke to the manager at SB. She said that based on the code status, it still needed to be unloaded from the boat. That was current as of saturday. VDC is closed on Sundays. She said she would call the VDC tomorrow and see if the "teamsters" are slowing up cars.
She said that if they received a large number of cars, it would slow down the process. I don't think I will see my car until the weekend. :impatient :impatient East coast 37 wkers are taking delivery!! We need to move!

ASK-MINI Robot is stupid
My ASK-MINI robot message just went backwards this morning from "Your vehicle is in transit. Please contact your..." to "Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessle." I'm hoping this is some kind of mistake.
I think once your MINI actually is in transit, the automated telephone line becomes completely inaccurate. Throughout most of the process, I found the automated line much better than the OL. But once my MINI arrived in the U.S., the OL was much more reliable.
Our MA from MOP called and the mini is now at the dealer! Took over a week to make the few-hour trek from the VPC. Now it's just a matter of paperwork, registration, insurance, etc..I guess that could take longer than the boat ride.
Shouldn't take too long. Ours got unloaded from the boat on the 22nd, and was at MOP by Tuesday, and we could've picked it up as early as Friday morning (but we waited until the weekend, Peabody is several hours drive for us).
. I have already ordered personalized CA plates, but I think I might an EU replica plate (Griots Garage) with W3606 for the front.

Thats what I thought from your photo's. However, There is the one guy from wk 34 who hadn't taken delivery. His car had arrived 9/20. Sooo.. I am a bit uneasy. SB is still hoping they get the car by wed. Hopefully I will hear from them today.
who is your dealer?
