Convenience Opening memory selection

Hey,

I got the Vehicle Memory selections email from "The Dudes" from Long Beach MINI and noticed a contradiction between two items: the Selective Central Locking and Convenience Opening. Both items say that a different feature is activated with a second click of "unlock." I called to clarify this and they said that they do not conflict because the Convenience Opening feature is only activated when the 2nd click is held for a couple seconds.

Am I the only person who was confused about this? Probably, but I don't have a MINI yet and I need to post about something because the wait is killing me.

Thanks for listening.

I was confused about that too. I think what they are saying is clicking it twice and letting go right away, and clicking it the second time and holding it will lead to two different results, depending on what you choose to program.

I probably confused you even more with my rambling explanation But it makes sense in my head...

When I first moved from film to digital I felt wierd "double clicking" my camera. Now I'm going to be double clicking my car. It's a strange new word.
By the way, does anyone know how to adjust the points in a MINI?

I'm here! My boot and bonnet stripes arrived today and they look to be REALLY great quality So I'm happy about that. And my John Cooper signature badge came yesterday and it will look nice too

I still have not figured out my clear bra situation though. I don't know what I'm going to do. I can't find a place that someone doesn't have some sort of horror story for!

My new wheels are finally on the way!!! I hope they get here before I take delivery. The tires are already taking up a big corner of my balcony in my apartment. I need to get all of this stuff out!

I have the PIIA driving lights, Garmin C330 GPS and M7 strut supports taking up valuable shelf space. My classic England brass gear badge came in to today as well. I envy you Left Coast people, I have to wait for the Teamsters to haul Merlin all the way to Denver.

well, I have my M7 strut reinforcements, a plug and play siruis radio, and eyeballs from stoopidgirl here... other than that, I have a shipment coming from classic. It holds the sport link, bike rack, driving lights, bumper protector, boot cover w/extension, glove box organizer, aux input. I arranged my clear bra installation for next week. He is coming to the dealership to do it. I will arrange window tint for next week also. Now, I am going to order the parcel shelf, sunroof deflector. I called Steve's auto shop in Northridge for installation of my accessories. He quoted me 200 for the sport link and 200 for the lights. Much better than 750 for the sportlink installation at the dealership.

ML, you are cruising on your accessories! Too bad we don't live near each other, we could shop!

Lets hope our cars aren't delayed by the truckers!

No kidding. If I had restrained myself, I could have made a bigger down payment!

I have a pull-out couch in my office that's currently full of MINI "stuff" - bonnet/boot stripes, OEM Sirius receiver, antenna, and kit, badge holder, badges, John Cooper signature badge, car cover. I want the extended boot cover for my doggies and a divider gate but I'm going to let that be for now, since I don't drive them around that much anyway.

Got my goodies in from Classic Mini last night. Huge box, for a bunch of small stuff. Looks impressive, though....

And climbergirl, that's total bullsh*t that you're in 5th gear without even owning one yet. total crap. I've already figured out how to add a signature with photo, and I'm locked in 1st? Quick -- someone press in the clutch, so I can shift....

And is it going to be considered tacky if I slap on some of my left over stickers, from my last car? Edelbrock, maybe, or Hooker headers? Thought it would get people thinking about what's under the hood....

I think the gear you're in is based on the number of posts you have.

I'll leave it to our resident bard JJ Blue to say something poetic , but I stopped by Port Hueneme and then the VDC and can confirm that the epic sea voyage and pirate battle is over. I took a few snap shots as evidence.

I didn't see too many MINI's at the VDC (it was 4:35pm yesterday and it looked like everybody had gone home for he day ) - but the one picture I snapped looked like it could well be Climbergirl's baby (when are you gonna name him or her??)

Cool, Boneman! Thanks.

A pic of the ship for the scrapbook.

Let's hope the MINIs were all inside getting rushed through.

Nice shots!! Not my MCS though! I have Slites. I like those rims tho! I have no idea what to name my MINI. Someone said there was a bunch of BMW's slowing down the process. Oh well. I have no idea when we will take delivery. I am going to hope for early next week like SB's manager said.
