just another intro
just another intro
Hey internet!,
My name is Stefan and I like MINI's.
Im a youngin' and am proud to say I learned to drive in a MCS...originally, well sort of, out of upstate NY my family has moved to Breckenridge CO and I currently go to CU Boulder.
Our first MINI was a 2002 Grey/White Roof MCS which prompty recieved a JCW kit (#S702).....we loved this car (yes...past-tense). I had to privilege to track this car at pocono, limerock park, watkins glen and an ice race course in up-upstate NY. I also had the privilege (along with my dad and 6 friends) of flipping the car off of its side back onto its wheels (after a 9 foot retaining wall drop)..carry it out of the woods, and then procede to drive what was only a minor cosmetically damaged car around the block (unbelievable). Sadly, after all the fun I had in this smile factory some jackass rear-ended it in the summer of 04....
.
Sooooooo what would a true MINI owner do the following week? Purchase a 40th anniv. MCS....slap on another JCW kit (#S4607) and take the dam thing back to pocono, limerock park and the glen. This MINI is just as fun as the last...not as much yo-yo but also not as much gizmo. No cruise control, sunroof, climate control, ect. ect. ect. But I always like to say its that much lighter...unless I'm amidst my semi-annual drive back to NY, then it would be nice to have the cruise...these dam MINI's will creep right up to ***mph when your not lookin'. Aside from the JCW kit everything else is pretty basic...new intake, redline fuels and tried and EBC Green/slotted rotor combo but was too squeeky. We trasnplanted our "happy blue" schroth 4-points from our old blue/black interiored MINI into the current MINI (black/red int.) but they are so goddam ugly I always take them out (anyone want to swap for a black or red set shoot me a PM).
I plan on going for a couple cruises at the Copper rally coming up this weekend and hope to see some of you there....I might copy paste this intro to the local colorado mini site so don't give me too much sh*t
. Also I plan on calming down on the parentheses (lies).
