It was worth the wait!!

I picked up my new 2006 MCS DS/S at Long Beach Mini on Tuesday! Matt was very helpful, and he even threw in those floor mats for me. The buying process was extremely fast. I am very happy with my color choices (the Silver on Dark Silver looks great!) and driving experience... well you guys know....

Matt said that 5-6 other people picked up their Mini that day. Who else picked their Mini's up at Long Beach on Tuesday?

Also, I am debating on whether or not to get the Clear Bra, someone please convince me!

Now I really feel part of the team! Thanks!

Thanks, I will do that after work. I've been driving it around so much I've forgotten to take pictures of it.

First...congrats! Having a new MINI is a pure pleasure!

Clearbra....well, my first bonnet did not have one and I picked up some chips after 1.5 years of motoring. After a wreck, I got a clear bra on my second, newly-painted bonnet and it has been a very good thing to have. Two years later...no chips, looks great. Some will say that a clear bra looks worse on certain MINI colors because of the visibility of "the line." That may be true, but it looks super on my Indi Blue bonnet. It would look great on DS, too, I think.

I would rather not have a clearbra at all, of course, but given general road conditions out there I'm glad it to have it.

Congrats on the Mini. Got my 2006 in Feb and decided not to get a clear bra. In Florida I was more concerned about the bugs then the chips. So I just commited myself to checking the car each evening and removing any bugs as needed. So far so good.

Congrats on your new ride!

I have the ClearBra on both my MINIs. It seems like a day doesn't go by that some non-ClearBra owner doesn't come over, look at my car and lament about not having one on his/her car. Yes, it was pricey, but, the one has been on the Cooper for 2.5 yrs now and nary a mark. The other one was just installed on a new '06 RG/RG MCS. Considering the prices of touch-up work, it was money well-spent! I also had my lights covered with those X-Pel shields...an ounce of protection, ya know?
