Yes. Don't pay the overpriced hourly rates at the dealer's. Save some money and install it yourself .

that's why so much~ i asked about the aero kit, $1200 + paint and labor, = $2400 something
when you want the kit after the mini come to the dealer, they charge $3400 something for whole thing~ that's way too much~

That's cheap! My dealer wanted 2995 to install it at the port, or 3,495 to install it at the dealer (to their credit, they paint the wheel wells if you have them install it).

Ipod install is like 600. Get a Dension Icelink (www.Dension.com I think). They're under 200, and work great. I had one in my last Mini, allows you to control the actual IPod off your steering wheel controls, and not just select one of 6 playlists specifically named and created for the Mini.

Edit: Forgot to say, it's hella easy to install. Took me under an hour, and thats after I ripped out my head unit only to discover that it didn't fit! (The one I bought connected to the CD changer in the back!!!). 20 Minutes max...

Your MA will of course tell you which options are dealer and which are factory.

The only dealer option we ordered was the iPod adapter. I am having the dealer do it because I'm not familier enough with Mini wiring, and don't want to bugger it up. Screw it up yourself, warranty might not cover any collateral electrical damage.
