My new MCS is a rocket car
Everyone sing the "Happy Happy Joy Joy" song!
Seven long weeks after ordering, I forked over my 29 zillion dollars yesterday and drove home with Foamy. What an amazing car! Heather was following along in the Volvo S60 just in case anything broke. At the freeway onramp, I carefully applied a little power (staying well short of max-performing the car per the break-in instructions), and a few seconds later I was in sixth gear just humming along. No big deal.
Then I looked in the mirror and saw my wife's car and everyone else that was behind me at the signal a few seconds before were now a quarter mile back.
And that I'm accellerating through 70 mph. With the A/C on. And I haven't even reached the freeway yet. Wow. This combination of horsepower and light weight are amazing.
I stayed up until almost 2am last night washing the car, applying Klasse SG & wax over that, and RainXing the windows. I 303'd all the plastic today, and will tackle the leather this week. This is the start of a long and amazing adventure. Here's a photo of Foamy exploring western Albuquerque and one in the the garage with his roommate. --doug
