New Canadian Soho Special Edition Just Ordered

Hi everyone. I just ordered my very first Mini for my wife and boy are we excited. We had the chance to drive the Cooper for the day today just to get in the groove early. We ordered the 2006 Special Edition (Canada) Cooper SOHO edition (basically a Cooper with a cross between the premium and sport package but including all season radials and 3 years maintenance)...wooohooo, we are so excited. I don't have a production week number yet but we were told to expect delivery by August 15th. Any pointers for the Mini Newbie? Goodbye Focus Hello Mini .... Adam

Realistically, you are looking at closer to the end of August most likely. But some dealerships will tell you the wait is only 4-5 weeks. Realistically, it is 6 to 8 weeks. Mine was ordered for me on June 6 and will be taking delivery probably July 25, which is 7 weeks. I am on the East coast where the cars usually hit first.

Welcome to NAM and keep us posted on your new Mini!

Thanks for the info. The dealership here had 12 on order and we grabbed one of them (rather than the dealership "ordering" from our order. Hopefully we'll be mini'ing in August

also on east coast here... we ordered 7/6, DS/W MCSa has been built and is loaded on the Trianon which put to sea on 7/23 for a 9 day crossing of the atlantic... which puts it in NY on 8/1...

from start to finish... if things continue to go well... it looks like a 5 week process for us...

fingers crossed for us and everyone else!!

Cool...I have a call in to my dealer to get more info on ours. The dealer pre-ordered 12 because of the "special edition" so we are still on track I think for mid August (crossing my fingers)

Update...we're slotted for week 30 and I understand that the East Cost has a pending shutdown for renovations. Hopefully we'll still be on track for some point in August delivery (crossing everything I can cross)
