At the end of the day, we all love our colors regardless of how they were selected...

We disagreed on convert Vs hard top. I really wanted something that was closer to a "classic" look, so went with hardtop and CR/W, bonnet strips...

Yes, like my kids, it is the BEST!

I had a CR/B as my first MINI however it was totaled in April, my wife called that the fun car. I'm getting a RG/RG to replace it and she says this one is more serious because of the color. In reality any color MINI is good, its the MINI that is fun. I have not seen a single color combination that did not look good in one way or another. The great thing with our MINIs is each seems to be pretty unique and is personalized by the owners quickly after they get them.

Good luck and have fun.

your choice

I love the electric blues, but i just got my mini this year so, no luck. I went to the dealer and I really liked the orange, but that's only in convertable haha. I just had to make myself realize that I have to choose from the other colors. Then I found it, Space Blue...... ahhhh. And i couldn't be happier with it. As far as making the car look fun etc. you can always add graphics/stripes/exterior mods to make it look the way you want. I didn't want the standard colors so I choose the most interesting one (to me). I love it. I think that you will find the color you want by seeing them in person. Most colors look different in sunshine, rainy day, and dusk. Drive the nearest dealer nuts if you have to! good luck:impatient

This was the hardest decision for me too. I had HB/HB till 2 hours before and switched back to MC PW/PW. I always spec'd a PW but the HB grew on me. It's also $450 cheaper.
Really like the thunder blue on the GP, wonder how much flak I'd get getting it custom painted TB/TB. Or I could paint it the same color scheme and put a CP on it for Cheapie.

The only color that I really loved was the Purple Haze. Which is gone now. Nothing else just jumps out at me. My question is how did you pick the color of your Mini? Also, if the color you picked had been unavailable, which color would have been your second choice? Thanks everyone. Any help would be appreciated.

I just ordered my car yesterday afternoon. I picked solid pepper white body/roof/mirrors people tell me its "plain" but most pepper white owners have black tops. Also living in florida, having a black roof really heats up the car in the parking lot. I also like the simple'ness of an all solid color.

Mini, a nice racing stripe over the hood, top, and back would look great! You have a wide range of stripe colors you could go with.

Gromit801,

you know, i never did think about that. i didnt order any bonnet stripes. I like the idea of a single wide stripe over the bonnet and roof, maybe in black. I could also have it worked into the scoop!

wow, you just got the gears turning in my head like crazy!

I love my Cool Blue Cabrion with a black top. But if I had to choose a different color, I would get a Pepper White with black top and bonnett stripes without hesitation! Everytime I see a PW/B I like it more than the last one I saw!

With PW, you can get a lot of different kinds of stripes, like Shelby stripes (erroneously called Viper stripes) from Mini aftermarket sellers.

I went back and forth forever- and drove everyone around me nuts- between CR and BRG. Ultimately, I chose the BRG/W since it was on the lot vs. waiting 2 mos for the CR. I guess you could say the dealership made the decision for me. I love my car- getting the bonnet stripes added next week- can't wait!

color confusion too

I ordered the CR/B yestereday, had a panic attack about the color last night. I know that I drive fast. It has only been luck and policedar that has kept me from getting a speeding ticket. I have to say, i have never had a speeding ticket. Usually good at getting out of them. But, I have never owned a red car. Its not unusual for my 330 to cruise over, well over, the speed limit. So, I changed my color to DS/B. Almost chose the HB cause I loooove blue. But, my fiance likes the dark silver. And he did choose the color of car that wanted when he bought his new subie. A little give.. a little take.

If I'd had the choice, I'd have gone for Electric Blue in a heartbeat. Love, love, love that color.

Since it was discontinued...I was eyeing Space Blue/Silver for a time, until my wife worked out that some people might interpret the color as a fanatical love for the Dallas Cowboys. Couldn't get the thought out of my head afterwards, so no Space Blue.

Wife and I finally settled on Royal Grey because a) we both liked it and b) it was more unique than silver or dark silver.

Hi Mecab!

Since no one's mentioned yet, Mini's going to have some new colors in the '07 models...you might want to look into the news articles about those to see if there's one you like! I know www.motoringfile.com had an article with paint swatches of the '07 colors.

I just ordered a Hyper Blue Mini Cooper S a few weeks ago...it's waiting dockside right now in the UK awaiting transport home. I can't wait!

I ended up with Hyper Blue mostly because my wife liked the color...for me it was between Chili Red or the Hyper Blue...when I saw the Hyper Blue silver roof combo, V-stripes and blue interior I was hooked on the blue.

Honestly though Mini's look great in a lot of colors. For instance, I never thought I'd like the British Racing Green until I saw one...wow they're nice! Pure silver! Wow! Dark Silver, the list goes on.

It really is a difficult decision! But keep in mind it's all good!

When I first seriously considered going with the Mini I thought for sure CR/B.. then I saw a white.. and thought yep.. CR/W.. I had that all figured into it.. then went dealer to really look up close and personal, do a test drive that jazz.... There was a HB/W on the that was just perfect. I wanted it right then and there.. things didn't work out ($$ wise) so I had to step out of that one but it never left my heart.. so I built/placed order for an exact same (a few options diff). I would say now that I've gotten down to the purchase I'd use PW/B as my second choice because my guy loves it and wants it as my first choice.

Thank you all for such good advise. I ordered my MSC 7/21. The color I ordered was the Hyper Blue with the Black roof and mirrors. That was on a Friday. By Monday, I changed the color to Pure Silver and then finally to Dark Silver . See, I told you I was having a hard time making up my mind. Now, after going a more then a week without a change, I saw some new some Hyper Blues at the dealership and now I want to change back to the HB/B. Well I am going to sleep on it and hopefully the feeling will pass. I just wish I could be sure about the color like everyone else. I have never, ever had a problem with picking a car color before. I don't know why it is so hard this time.

It's so hard because they all look so great! I know what you feel like, I drove my friends nuts too. At first I was set on BRG/B with black stripes and then started to like the hyper blues I saw driving around. Never really went for anything red but when I went to the dealer to test drive ... I saw on the lot sitting there ... the perfect color. As soon as I saw it, "Wow.... what... color.. is that???" Space blue of course. Now I'm going to pick up my space blue with silver roof and v stripe. I'm so excited. I hope I dont' look at too many other mini's colors and make mine jealous.
