Ordering TOMORROW 6/8. Input please?

I meet with my MA tomorrow to place my MCS order! I've been a member of NAM for just a few days and have learned so much from the great members.

So, here are the specs of my new Red Scooter:

Chili Red/Black
Black Bonnett Stripes
Premium Pkg.
Ext. Chrome Pkg.
17" S-Lites - Performance
Automatic w/Agitronic Paddles (I'd love to do the manual but I pretty much drive for a living. How great to be able to do it in a MINI!)

Tartan Red/Black Panther
Silver Interior
Anthracite Headliner (an EXCELLENT change influenced greatly by NAM members!)

Tint (a must in Arizona)
Black Rubber floor mats
Aux. Audio Input
Glove Box Organizer
Marquee Plate - MINI Logo

Have I forgotten anything? Any "must haves"?

Thanks everyone!

Your specs sound great! You will love that Tartan Red/Panther leather upholstery. My dear friend, Maximusmini, got that on his new Dark Silver/White MCS last week, and it is beautiful! It will be very comfy in the AZ heat!! The only think I would suggest (and I also agree with the Harmon Kardon suggestion) is to get the LSD (limited slip differential)...it is awesome!

Swap out the S-Lites for the Web Spokes! You won't regret it!

Wow. Almost forgot to upgrade the sound system. With any other car, I likely would have thought of that FIRST. What's another $550 in the grand scheme anyway? On the LSD, it doesn't make as much sense to me esp. in a mild climate. But, I do appreciate the input. ALL of it. Countdown...I'll be heading to see my MA in about 2.5 hours!

I like the chrome interior too but it's all a matter of personal taste

I was considering the Anthracite interior since I changed to the Anthracite headliner But, I really do like the contrast and more sporty look. The Anthracite is nice but it IS a matter of personal taste. I am very happy to have had everyone's advice on the headliner.

Only problem with the anthracite headliner is that the airbag stickers are so much more obvious! I really like mine, even though the stickers were a pain to remove. Probably easier on a brand new car, though. Your choices sound great! I second the encouragement to go with the HK stereo, especially if you spend a lot of time in your car.

Yep! The HK is IN for sure. I have a mobile computer repair business and drive hundreds of miles a week. Gotta have primo tunes!

Stickers,eh? I hate stickers on just about everything. I'll make sure I get some Goo Gone and lose those ASAP!

good luck with the order. if you plan on driving a lot, i recommend the all season tires over the performance tires. they have a harder compound and will give you slightly longer tread wear.

I originally planned to get the all-season but in the mild AZ climate plus my MA's advice moved me to get the performance. If I still lived in Idaho, all-season would be a must!

Good choice perfomance is def the way to go. I have the performance runflats & I don't think they ride too rough plus you gotta stick good on the twisties

Leave off the bonnet stripes and get some different color stripes from a third party.

I would have went with the CR dash and Chrome interior. Since you didn't mention going for the Sport pack, I would ditch the S-Heavies for the 16" X-spokes.

PREACH ON BROTHER!

You can go to a local Vinyl Graphics company and get 4" wide strips. Heck, 3 different sets for what the factory charges for their stripes. And the DYI stripes will not have gaps at the grille and rear edge of the bonnet!

The CR dash is sweet but the red it all wrong for the Tartan/Leather seats IMO. I'd do the Panther Black Leather or the Space Cloth with the CR dash.

Hmmm...$100 is all they want for factory installed. No longer installed at the dealer. Thanks for the info though!

They are installed at the dealer if you dont' order them from the factory... This is the only option for the cooper. The S has both options...

My cooper is getting the black bonnet stripes for $79 (dealer is not charging me for installation).
