New to the boards

Hey All,

I test drove a MCS for the first time on Friday and Im going tonight to put my order in.

My question... Has anyone here dealt with MINI Peabody in MA?? And if so how would you recommend going back to them??

Also, are all MINI dealers pretty firm with their pricing?? I asked the salesperson if the price that was being displayed with all the options I was looking for was negotiable and he looked at me dead-faced and said "Its firm". I dont know if there are any ways around that to get the best possible deal. Thanks!

I ordered mine in April and I should have it this week. As far as the pricing I paid MSRP and most that I have read on here did the same. The only thing you may be able to deal on are the dealer installed options.

Good luck on your purchase and may the wait be short.

Welcome to NAM, jmmas!!! Yeah, MINI prices tend to be pretty firm. About the best most of us have been able to pull off is free floor mats or some MINI swag. I have no info on Peabody. Actually, I think buying a MINI is instantly a "best deal" because the car itself is just so darn good. Value for the $$$ is very high!!!

Hey thanks! I actually went back to MINI Peabody and ordered mine last night!! Here is the config

06 MCS
British Racing Green
Black top and mirrors
Black Bonnett Stripe
I got everything from the Premium package but the sunroof, and I added the Chrono gauge.
Driving Lamps

I kept it kind of simple, but Im excited as heck!

I cant wait for it to come home!

PS. I suppose I can look this up, and probably should have asked the dealer but... All MCS come with remote entry and alarm, right?

welcome to the boards... the only mini's that are negotiable are the used cars in stock. I tried to knock down $1500 off a 2006 with 6000 miles however they werent budging... they are basically asking for msrp after half a year's use. afterwards, i figured a brand new car would have been a better option for me.

Keepsearching... if your lucky, you can get your new car within a few months depending on where you are located.

Congrats jmmas,

My wife and I ordered from Mini of Peabody a week and a half ago. So far it has been a great experience and hoping it will continue. I think it will.

It was funny when we started adding up the prices. I knew we were going to be locked at MSRP but we asked anyway. Sure enough we were politely told the price was MSRP and that was it.

From my experience (lots of cars) you have made a great purchase for your first time new car purchase. For that matter any. We had an extended test drive in a 2005 MCS and I am impressed with all aspects of the vechile. I am sure you will be pleased and the only difficult task is waiting for our newly purchased Mini's ... We are in week 23 so hoping to pick it up within the next 30 days or so.

Best of luck and have fun.
