Returned to Shipper?
Returned to Shipper?
Does anyone know what Returned to Shipper means on the WW site? Last week AskMini said my car was en route, but yesterday it said my car was awaiting a shipping vessel
Has this happened to anyone else?

It's my understanding Return to shipper means your car was handed off from MINI to WW (possibly only a paperwork thing, it may not have left MINI's holding area near the port), then didn't make the boat, so it was (again possibly only a paperwork thing) handed back to MINI, and is now awaiting the next ship to arrive at the port that is heading to the VPC your car needs to get to.
My status was just updated to the same - "Return to Shipper" and until yesterday was listed on the WW site as waitlisted for a vessel in Southampton. The MINI site and my MA confirmed that mine is at the VDC in Charleston so it looks like the WW site is very unreliable for current status. Mine also did not come over on a WW ship so perhaps that's their way of clearing the VIN from their records.
Relax.. Have no fear.. your mini is on the way.. The tracking system is terrible and inaccurate... They use many shipping lines and dont have the ability to track them on their system.. I went thru the same BS and it made it here early!
Good luck!

Have to love this,
The dealer was able to tell me I was on the Emden which docked in Charleston May 3 and is already headed back to Europe. Of course, his system is showing it is not expected to arrive at the VDC until May 6 and is been assigned to Norfolk Southern for rail/truck transit (I guess from the port to the VDC). So based on that, it has been sitting at the Port of Charleston since May 3rd waiting to go to the VDC.
MiniUSA shows enroute, ASKMINI says in transit. While I havent checked in awhile, the WW site now shows that while I was originally booked on the Freedom, it was then booked on the Patriot and on May 5, was returned to shipper.
Not a big deal, it arrives when it arrives, but you have to admit, there is humor in the logistics system.
