Anyone else have/had a long wait time like me?

How come everybody seems to be getting their MINI within a few weeks of ordering?

I ordered mine in mid-March, and I was told it would take a few months to get a slot, then once a slot is secured, it takes three months...

therefore it should take 5-7 months total, arriving somewhere between mid-August & mid-October.

(Scottsdale AZ Mini)

51 weeks from Scottsdale MINI. On the waitlist on mid Mar 02, took devilery late Feb 03.

They always have a huge backlog. MINIUSA won't get them enough cars to fill the demand. Sad situation...I bet they've lost a tonne of sales because of their wait list.

I placed my order in Nov 05 and His Royal Highness is being built as we speak. Should have it by early July at the latest.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!

okay, I feel a little better now. I knew going into the process, before i ordered, that it would take a while. It just blew my mind to hear people complain about a 5-8 week wait.

My dealership has pre-ordered MINIs. They predict approximately how many MINIs will be purchased and allocate slots for them. Then, when someone comes in to put in an order, they take an existing MINI and edit the options to their liking before it goes into production. I put in my order on March 31st; my MCS should be here on May 11th.
