OK - what's new? Anybody hear anything yet? I guess this is a hard time because no one seems to be able to track it once it gets to port.

 

Well even though the Franconia docked on Friday the 12th, my MA said he showed my car "arrive" at the VDC on Monday the 15th. Guess it just sat there on the docks over the weekend waiting to get checked-in. From what others have been reporting it would appear cars with no VDC-accessory installs are flying through in as little as one day at the VDC before heading out on a truck. Since I am having the aero kit installed there, I assume it will take until today or tomorrow before the car gets on a truck to make the 12 hour drive south to my dealer. I am still hoping to have my car by Friday, but who knows...

 

No word yet on my car either. What state are you in MCT.

I have no Idea How long thr drive from SC is to louisiana.

 

I am in South Florida. My MA said he got a truckload of cars yesterday and my car would have been on it had it not been for the aero kit install which caused my car to miss the truck. He said my car will be on the next delivery which may come in Friday or Saturday. Problem is he is not sure they will be able to get the car ready over the weekend due to lack of mechanics there over the weekend so I may have to wait until Monday to pick Scooter up. Oh well, at least it will be soon!

 

I talked to my MA and he told me that my car was waiting for a carrier. He said that they would load the car and wait for the carrier to be filled then it would be shipped to the dealer. I map quested to the dealer from the Charleston SC and it said 12 hours and 40 min. So it sucks my car is ready to be driven but its just sitting there waiting. He told me that it would probally be this time next week. So it looks like I have to wait another week. What gives, this is a little agravating now, But what can you do.

 

Just talked to my MA and he said my car left the port of SC yesterday the 18th but the scheduled delivery is Monday the 22nd. 4 days to drive 12 hours??? He said that the truck drivers sometimes take the day off even if they have a shipment. That kinda sucks. He did say the truck driver may just drive through today and decide to take the weekend off too though. So who knows. Could be today or this weekend or worst-case Monday. Can you say frustrating?

 

let me know what happens. I called mini the automated guy said that my car was in transit. What ever that means.

 

I found out that my cars supose to come in today but it wont be ready for pick up until next week. How great. How you have better luck MCT.

 

Well my car did not come in. I was told it will be here Monday for sure. Hope I can pick it up the same day.

 

Well the mini usa site said that my car was Estimate date was 5/19/06 friday. So, I called and a MA told me that the car would be in later or come in very late at night. I went late last night and it wasn't there, however there was one identical to the color I ordered except not a JCW. I checked the VIN# just to be sure. So I went back tonight and I still don't see my car. So like you I hope it comes in monday and I can pick it up.

 

The Owners Lounge shows an Estimated Delivery Date of 5/21/2006, but it is now 5/22/2006 and my MA says my car is still not here. Guess the OL is stuck in a time warp. I am aware of the delays in updating the site - just bieng sarcastic. My MA says as long as the car comes in today before 2pm, I should be able to pick it up tonight. If not.... well, let's not go there....

 

My MA called me this morning and told me my car has come in, I went by friday and saturday night and didn't see it. Any way he said that it may have come in yesterday (sunday) So I figured the truck wouldn't come on a sunday. Any way he told me that he was going to take it in to the service area and that it would be ready tomorrow morning or later tomorrow, whats up with that. I guess the tech's at your mini dealer work faster because I still have to wait another day.

 

My car came in today I'll post pics tomorrow.

Here's the new cd player, this thing kick @$$. The first gauge is volts , the second is RPM, and the last one is the level of the music. I'm going all infinity with the repacement speakers. The rear is Kapa 6X9 3way.The front is 6.5 Kapa componet.

 

And finally this is the last pic I took in our super junky garage. This is how it looks with the new NEX-O TS8 wheels, M7 springs. I'll take some much nice pics later today or tommorow. Not bad to say the car only has about 20miles on it and is less than 2 days old. O' yea I also have my custom German plate the says monster, just so they know that my mini is a beast.Thanks for all the help from every one on here. More parts to come soon. In the shop getting the tint done now.
