production week 17
Mininini, the time can vary, mini was complete on 4-27-06 and it arived at the port on 2-28-06 (the day after it was finished). The next part really varies depending when the next ship is leaving ( from what I noticed there is normally a ship leaving every 5 days or so). My car hapen to get to the port the day before the ship left and it made it onto the boat 4-30-06 and now its on the open ocean (times on the ocean vary depending on the number of stops the ship makes) in my case the ship is supose to dock in SC on the 5-13-06 and the voyage is supose to take 13 days most take about 14 days to the east coast. If your car will be shipped to california (if you live close to the west coast) it can take up to two weeks longer, as the voyage is longer.
So in my case it looks like my car will be at the port in the US about 16 days after being completed.

OK - Here's what I've dug up so far... My car was booked & recieved at terminal for Patriot - then the Patriot sailed on 4/30 & no update & no "loaded on ship". Next few days I check WW's site & it has me updated as waitlisted (dreaded * next to my vin) for the Courage sailing 5/6/06 - Ugh. Mymini automated says "in transit - no shipping info available". Mymini live says no info past received at port 4/25. I resigned myself to waiting it out a while longer... I then spoke to my MA at Flow Mini (actually about something unrelated) & he says their records indicate it shipped out 4/28th from Southampton (got there on 4/25) & would be in Charleston 5/11. The only ship that seems to fit that bill is Franconia with K-Line. So now I'm both a mix of cautiously optimistic and realistically pessimistic. Hopefully some more info will crystallize soon.

Rest assured - your car is joining in on the midnight petrol buffet and living it up just waiting to hit the twisties when it docks on the 11th
.
Looks like the Franconia will be arriving a little earlier than originally thought!!!

Sweeet!!!! Thanks for the info. I haven't been able to get much from ASKMINI - they always seem to just tell me that they don't know much past when it gets checked in at the port. I guess you need to ask the right questions. Although it looks like the Charleston site has bumped up the expected date for the Franconia to 5/10 - that's OK - that's a lot better than I thought it would be. C'mon Franconia!
So the dealer has no idea what boat I'm on!!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHH! Though ASK MINI says I'm loaded on a boat...what boat? I do not know!!!!
OK, on the positive side at least I'm on a boat...can't track but my baby is sipping petrol on the Atlantic somehwhere!

Hey all!
I am a little late at posting but I've been lurking here.
I jus t wanted to introduce myself
I've got a MCS Ab/S it was finished on 4/20 and I've been paitely waiting too! My MA says I am on the Franconia too! I'm just waiting for 5/10 to get here and then a my mini goes to Dallas!!!
It seems that the Franconia does not appear on the shiptracker either so I guess ist just a guessing game where the ship is. Also my MA said that Mini is trying to get away from WW shippers and they are staring to use K-line much more.

Welcome to NAM, fellow shipmate!!
Too bad Kline doesn't track its ships like WW (although it seems like ww was doing kind of a poor job of it
). The Charleston schedule now shows the Franconia showing up on the 11th - oh well, I knew the 7th sounded too optimistic. I guess now its just hurry up & wait time.

Dang - looks like the Franconia has been delayed yet another day:

Positive thoughts here
. Could dock later today - right? Ok enough of that....My OL status now shows an estimated delivery date of 5/21/2006.
I think they pushed the patriot back to. I thought it was supose to dock on the 13, now the port of carolina site says the 15. what gives? I can track the patriot and it should be docked in the U.S. by now in NY and then on to SC. I wonder if the port is making it wait for another ship to be unloaded, or maybe it will still dock and begin unloading any way. (Finger's crossed)
