Got production #...Now what?

Just received my production # from MINI Center. What do I do now? I tried to register at the owners lounge but it asks for thr Date acquired which is not here yet.

Just enter in today's date as the date acquired and you should be able to get in.

I got a production number but my sales guy said it wasnt my car yet. Do they reuse the production numbers? He said that my car will take the place of the car with that number by the end of the week. Is this normal?

Proceed to go crazy checking tracking sites, mini online, calling ask mini and your MA multiple times every day until it is delivered

Some more helpful info:
As above, just enter today's date at the owners lounge. once logged in
here https://ol.miniusa.com/ click on "track your mini." You can bookmark the site that pops up so you dont have to go through all the prior steps. This site is often delayed so dont worry if the information seems behind. You can get your VIN here as well as expected completion dates.

1-866-275-6464 what we refer to "ask mini" say "vehicle production status" and then your production number. It's just a computer guy, so feel free to interrupt him. this is often more up to date than mini online. You could try this now.

Once you get a expected completion date then go here:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...countryList.do
to try and guess what ship you'll be on. look for a ship leaving Southampton to the port near you that is leaving a few days after your completion date.

Also, once in production you'll get your VIN on the mini online website. Put it here: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto
This is one of the shipping companies that mini uses so if you are lucky then it may show up here. The other shipping companies dont have online tracking and dont respond to emails (believe me, I tried)

Although it is not working at this time, once on a truck you may be able to track it using the one of the trucking companies that mini uses with your VIN.

I had the same problem. I think it requires a certain date format. Try entering it like xx/xx/xx - if I remember correctly, dashes were not accepted.

Your car may have taken the place of an allotment car your dealer already had in the pipeline. If a dealer has not sold all of their cars in a monthly allotment for customer orders, they will spec some out for the lot. Mine was one of those. At first, Owner's Lounge showed a different color, etc. but once the changes were processed it began showing up with my specs. Guess it depends on time of the month, but my car arrived about 6 weeks after build date.
