Cross-country road trip?

Seems like shipping would be a lot of money? Although I guess I'd save on gas money.
I was thinking about taking a friend with me for company and to (gasp!) let him drive it.... a little.
Then again, the GTI commercial is starting to play through my head
(My FAST does not like extra weight!)

Awww...let your friend drive your MINI and he'll want one, too! I think it's fun to share the MINI vibe!

But I am rewarding myself with the MCS coming in Mid-May...so if things work out academically I'll try to make it next year with that MINI, after I get some more biochem under my belt.
