does anyone out there have a clue how long it takes from the schedual production time to the birth of the mini ??

 

Renamed with a more descriptive subject line...

 

Mine was schedualed for production on the 9th for the 15th. My car has been waiting from 16th to today in the "Awaiting Transport" section. WHERE IS THE BOAT!

 

01/21/2006 - Order placed at Keeler MINI
01/26/2006 - Started Production, 5:14:07 AM
02/02/2006 - Entry to Body shop serial # issued
02/02/2006 - Entry to Paint shop
03/02/2006 - Entry to Assembly Friday
02/05/2006 - Finished (4th or 5th, don't know exactly)
02/06/2006 - Arrived at port of Southampton, late 11:54pm
02/13/2006 - Left Port of Southampton for NY
02/23/2006 - Arrived into port of NY, 3:00pm
02/28/2006 - Arrived to Keeler MINI
03/03/2006 - Final assembly, JCW airbox, aero front, R90 rims
03/06/2006 - We took delivery

 

I think the waiting list is up to ~7months? Someone on here or MINI2 said he'll take delivery in 7months! That's crazy lol!!!

Thelonious was also born on the 16th Deuce. There is another boat scheduled to dock at Southhampton on the 23rd. Hope we both make it.

 

Ha ha. I was scheduled on the 4th and have been waiting for a carrier since the 14th. It doesn't look like my boat will be in Southhampton until the 27th! I guess that'll be my song, "Sitting on the dock of the bay..."

 

For me it was 6 weeks from the day I ordered it. Took 3 more days for me to take time to drive to the dealer....3 hours away....to get it.
