The AISLive link works great when the FREEDOM is anywhere near the ports. In the middle of the Atlantic, your only hope to "see" the ship is if they participate in the VOS (Voluntary Observation Study) on oceanweather.com. In February, 2006 FREEDOM sadly didn't, so it was trackless for the 10 days or so across the pond.

 

God am I the only one on the Freedom!?!?!? Awfull lonely!

 

That little red dot didn't move so fast for me..it will drive you crazy...then once it arrives you'll be the one driving crazy ....my car was at the dealer and miniusa still said it was on the way to the dealer. Only had mine about 4 months now but unless something has changed the tracking is not live....or at least not as live as U.P.S. tracking....too bad that can't box that baby up and put it on a brown truck!

 

I lost the freedom over night. Guess I'll just be waiting till the 26th for her to come to port! 1 more week and the worst should be over!

 

The MINIUSA OL just changed my MCSa's staus to On Route. According to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen auto tracking it loaded on the Freedom almost a week ago (17MAR06) and is due to disembark in the NY VPC next Monday.

I'm guessing, as there are no known changes to be made in the VPC, it could make it to my Buffalo dealer by the end of the month or early the following week. Then another week for their prep and mods.

Bummer is that I may be traveling out of state on a two week business trip about that time. Oh well, any day your can get into your new MINI is a great day. Wish I had a Tardis to travel ahead in time!

 

The Freedom started showing up yesterday at www.sailwx.com. Looks like it may just get to New York a day early? I suppose the VDC isn't open on weekends however (i guesing here). Perhaps that is why they are leaving Monday? I'm in northern Marylnad, so I need to see if my MA can give me a feel for when the car might be in......

 

My MCS is also on the Freedom, according to Wallenius Wilhelmsen. After it arrives in NY, I still have a 1-2 week wait for it to be shipped to me in CA... (my order is through MINI of the Hamptons, and they're shipping it to me via truck/train).
