I had rain sensing wipers and auto-dimming mirror on my MB and they were definitely must haves when it came time to order my MC along with the auto headlights

Color was a no-brainer for me.

#1 hardest decision: whether to spend the money on the aero kit or not. I did, I love it.

#2: Hold off on production for 1 month to get the LSD, but incur the price hike as of jan 1 05. Didn't do it and am OK with it.

I have to go with some earlier posters: (i) Whether to pull the trigger or not and (ii) What color. Well the first question was answered when I heard about the impending death of the Supercharger... Time to get one. The second question was answered when Mrs. Dread weighed in.

By the way... first post & glad to be here!

it's silly, but my biggest decision (still is) the ipod connection. i also debated around with whether to do a mac mini install using google maps for my sat nav (in the end i decided too many compromises compared to factory nav and ipod).

But on pulling the trigger, you all will love this. I'd been pouring over new Mini stuff, and one day, my wife saw me, yet again, on the web, and she wisperd in my ear "just get the fu**ing car" and as she walked away... "and get the fast one, I don't want to hear you bit*h about it later!"

And that was that!

First it was the color, which was quickly decided on a trip to the dealer. Then it was the S vs Cooper, which was decided after I test drove both. Then it was the tranny, which was decided after I almost ruined my roommate's clutch. Then it was the iPod adapter, which I took out of my order while my MINI was at sea and later installed the AUX input myself.

And I'm completely satisfied with all of my choices
