Howdy from the South

The past month has really flown by!

I have posted in a few areas now, but haven't taken the time to get in here and just say hello, this will be my official introduction.

I took delivery of an '06 HB/B MCS back in late January. I just have one thing to say: Great car! wish that I got it sooner. I have been driving an S10X for the past seven years/200,000mi and did not realize how bad it was. They could have done so much better on that truck. But, I digress. Love the car - it reminds me of my days in my Fiero, just more comfortable, faster, etc.

To everyone: Many thanks for all of the info that is on here. It is great that so many people contribute to the betterment of the MINI community. It also has helped me make informed decisions on my MINI.

John

Coming from a Chevy truck, it's got to be quite the change. You must be having so much fun! Congrats!

Howdy back at you from down the road in Columbia. My Suburban is languishing with a For Sale sign on it. Somewhat of an adjustment...but LOVE my MINI!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yes, quite the adjustment from, the S10. I missed my fun Fiero days and now I have reclaimed them - plus some.

Now, let's get out and motor this weekend!

Welcome to NAM!! MINI do kinda reset the bar for one's expectation of a car, don't they. What will we ever do if MINI's go away. I know...best not to think such thoughts.

Don't forget to check out your local MINI club! Lot's of fun things to do and some great sources for local insight to any MINI question you might have. Check out the M2C2 Carolina club. Still got that grin?

Welcome aboard! From your name I would guess you are also a fellow atv junkie? Adding mods to the Mini is every bit a fun as all the mods on my quads!

The wife has asked me if I should join MA (MinisAnon!) LOL !

Howdy to you to from good ol' Las Vegas! Come on over if you feel like doing some long distance motoring - maybe bring it out for AMVIV at the end of this month!
Enjoy the site and your car!

Thanks again to everyone for the extended welcome!

I got a chance to get out this weekend and take some twisties. All I can say is: wow! Lots of fun. For the ones that are near the area - I went up Hwy 178 to Brevard and then back down Hwy 276 passing Ceasar's Head. Yee haa!

I can say that the BBK is on my list - along with some wheels and tires. These are a must for serious curve lovers. My swaybar should be here soon, so I will have an excuse to go at them again. Plus, I can't wait to have my 15% pulley put on. I do have to wait until MotD for the intake - thanks Way! I've got the bug and need the money now! Ha ha!

BTW, has anyone heard anything on the new Alta swaybar? It is supposed to have 3 end-link holes instead of the two.

Yes, the screenname is my second love. Love to go and ride the trails and have fun with my extended family that I have met from all over the past few years. Modding on the atv is not as involved as the car, but I do enjoy it. Kinda along the same lines - intake, jets, pipe, etc.

Thanks again,

John
