Greetings from a new member. I'm looking for a mini dealer in the Wilmington, N.C area. Any help will be appreciated.

Charleston, Greenville, Norfolk, Charlotte or Winston Salem are your closest.

If you go to miniusa.com and configure a car to your liking, you can get a dealer in your area to contact you. It will also list the dealers in your area. I don't know how well it works in other areas, but it worked for me....although only one of the two dealers in my area actually emailed me. But the dealer who did, had my car on the lot. It's worth a try. It's a nice tool to see what your mini will look like and it'll give you an idea of what the 'bottom line' should be.

Hope that helps.

Yes, but they won't honor your warranty which means they're going to charge you for the priveledge of letting them work on your car.

Only authorized MINI Service Centers (i.e MINI dealers) will service your MINI under warranty.

Interesting are there dedicated MINI dealers. I live in New York and all three dealers are at BMW dealerships so I have to go there for service. Not overly pleased with this since they don't seem to be the nicest people. I plan to move to the N. Carolina area later this year.

MINI Dealer= Any dealership that sells new MINIs (which means they service them too), some are co-located with BMW Dealerships and share facilities, others are not, but every MINI dealership is owned by a BMW dealership, there are no independent MINI dealerships.

BMW only dealerships will not honor the MINI warranty even if the closest MINI dealership is several hours and hundreds of miles away, and some will even refuse to work on a MINI unless they sold it (which would be through their used car sales).

*disclaimer!* the above only applies to the US, your mileage may vary in other countries.

I'll be heading down to Charleston this week to look at the Minis. My question is, can any one tell me if the S is the way to go or is it not worth the extra cost & what that cost might be?
Thanks---Coastie

It's worth every penny! Especially when running the AC in summer and not having power to pass.

Pay no attention to the Twister. He has a strange fascination with horsepower. Drive them both.
