hey nam,
i've been lurking for a month and decided to introduce myself. I had a 99 acura integra with lots of go fast goodies that i loved to drive sold it and bought a tc when they came out, 1 1/2 years and 9,000 miles and i had all but stoped driving the car. I went to hassel mini to test drive a coopers just to see what it was like. i feel in love traded my 05 scion tc on the spot for a PW/B that was on the lot, there was no way i could have waited. Now i've cought the modding bug again and will find any reason to drive it.

I bought the wheels and tires used from "lord of the files" . The nero's are a great tire i had them on my last car. They handle dry and wet very well, hopefully they don't see snow till next winter.
Wow, small world, I'm trading in my 05 tC too. I have a CR/W JCW that should hit the dock tommorrow. I used to have a 2000 Celica GT-S lost it in a flood and replaced it with the tC since I needed a new car right away. I wanted a MINI then but couldn't wait at the time. So now is finnally the time.
so how was it going from the celica to the tc. It drove like a much bigger car compared to my acura.
The Celica felt short, wide, with no body roll. The tC feels long, narrow, and top heavy. The Celicas engine was a awsome little free reving 1.8, it just wanted to go. The tCs 2.4 seams to labor and if you in the upper revs it just doesn't like being there. The Celica had a 6 speed and cruising on the highway was awsome, I'd get like 33mpg. The tC has the five speed and just seams geared to low, its screaming on the highway. Not to mention after getting used to the 6 speed in the Celica I still occasionally find myself reaching for the shifter to put it into reverse on the highway. Not to bash the tC, its better than a lot of cars out there. For Autocross your at the top of HS class, but its no Celica. Wiich kinda stinks since Toyota replaced the Celica with the tC.
Well the 3 hundred pounds of glass roof add that top heavy feel. The motor is out of the camary so the top-end is a little week. At low rpms it is nice and quiet and smooth. How can they think this car replaces the celica.
