Pepper White paint stains

Hello Cousins.

Quick question, I was cleaning my wifey's 06 Mini Cooper (Pepper White) and noticed that there are "yellowish" looks like glue stain in its paint (this is by the rear wipers) I did noticed this before and I seriously think its just overlayed glue from the plastic panels. Before I used to clean it with the Mr. Clean sponge and it worked, but now it left nothing but an ugly "yellowish" stain. Do you guys know what this is? Or even recommend any cleaning agent to get rid of the stain in the paint. Thanks

I've seen this just below the rear wiper arm on the rear of my wife's MINI - it looks like grease from the armature where it connects to the motor. I removed it with some wax. It does keep appearing though. I haven't noticed it from the front wipers but will look for it tonight.

...had a similar problem with Miss Kitty, my first ('04) MC. She was also PW....the bonnet would stain from the seed berries from the silver button wood dropping on it during the night. I kept a buffing compound on hand and when I washed her, lightly buffed out the stains.... Mick

This is probably the wax that is sprayed behind the sheet metal at the factory. you'll see it a lot more when it gets warmer out. You might even see it in the door jams.

It is a leaky rear washer sprayer. Mine is doing it as well. Not easy to clean off. If you look close at the Mini Emblem on the back you will see this yellow streak from the bottom of it as well. I am bringing up to my dealer the next time I am near there. Have only had the car since December.

I had the same thing, it was a yellowish brown stain from under the wiper, all the way down around the logo and down to the strip above the license plate. I told the service guy, they said it was grease on the wiper arm or something and they buffed the stains. It helped a lot, but they didn't completely go away. I'm afraid we're just stuck with them. I don't know if anything short of a repaint will totally eliminate them.

Pepper White is a great color, but unfortunately it's easily stained. I was able to get it stain the rust color by putting my VacuCam camera mount on the door. I sprayed Quik Detailer on the rubber mount, then suctioned it on. After a track day, there was a round brownish rust color stain in a circle, the same diameter as the suction cup.

This had never happened on any other color--Indi Blue, Chili Red, Electric Blue, British Race Green, Dark Silver, Pure Silver were all tested and didn't exhibit this behavior.

In order to remove this stain, I had to buff with a cutting pad using my rotary buffer for quite a while. It seems to have penetrated pretty deep into the clear coat, and this was only after one day of use.

This car also had stains on the rear boot.

Recently I had a chance to buff out a PW Cooper, and the owner actually disconnected the water line for the rear windshield wiper so it wouldn't leak causing those stains. The only way to remove these stains is with a paint cleaner that can reach deep into the paint.

Good luck!

My PW is in production now and will be arriving soon. With this issue in mind has anyone had a clearbra or the like installed on the boot to maybe help prevent this from happening or to ease the cleaning of these stains? I am considering a clear bra for the bonnet but never thought of it for the boot until now
