Has anyone experienced a problem with the ring gear spinning off the differential housing. Its happened on my 02 with 58000 miles on it. Worse of all the Mini dealer had to order the parts. Been waiting over 2 months for the parts. When the parts were order the dealer said we were the first in the US to request these parts. ( diff housing, bearings and pins). Now when the dealer checks the back order status it appears several have been requested. On the non S models the ring gear is a press fit rather than bolted to the differential housing. Seems like a very poor design.
