Look up NAM Core Moderation Team member, Minihune. The dashboard of his MINI is very nice (and wood too besides).

I actually think his is not wood, but airbrushed to give that appearance.

I think you're right about that... But didn't Billy Crystal say on SNL that "to LOOK wood is better than to FEEL wood..." (that dash looks Mahhhvelous)...

Wood would be awesome in a BRG, especially with the tan/black seats.

PS I think there are some pics of the wood trim kit in the motoringfile archives.

I love a classic burlwood dash, and know that it would look great on a BRG (yes, especially with tan interior), but every time I look at these stick on kits they just don't quite do it for me. I guess it is because they look like a stick-on kit and are not as complete as they should be. Or maybe the modern style of the interior doesn't go with wood. . . I just don't know. . .

If MINI offered a real factory wood kit so it didn't look like something applied on top of the dash, I think it could be very awesome. . .

minihune's dash looks great, but that is because it is painted by an incredible expert, includes lots of painted parts like the downtubes, and it doesn't have that "sticker" look

I saw the MINI OEM wood dash on display at my dealer. The dash is not a stick-on but it is made of plastic.

Here is the article on MotoringFile: http://motoringfile.com/2005/02/11/m...sed_in_the_us/

I don't care for the wood much either, but someone asked. I'll stick with my Chili Red dash.

Can I get an "Amen!"... (ordered "interior in body color" in Nov. 2004 when it was still a "no cost" option) .

Tatt

edit: this is not a slam on wood interiors, but rather a "hooray" for my CR dash & door bezels!

I saw a wood dash at the LA Auto Show. It didn't appeal to me in the least. But I like that so many chioces are available.
