My '06 MCS is ordered...

Pepper White w/PW Roof
Anthracite Int
Premium, Cold Weather and Convenience Pkgs
Front & Rear Fogs
Center Arm Rest
Chrono Pkg
On-Board Comp

I've also ordered stripes from Cooper Flags, plus the MyMini Knee Pad & Parcel Shelf.

I appreciate all the info I gleaned from the great folks on this site and hope the dealer (Century Mini in Greenville SC) is right about delivery 7 weeks from order date of Jan. 6th. I'm really looking forward to the Mini...big change from my regular Suburban ride!

Welcome, and nice MINI!

I almost got the Pepper White up until the last minute, it's a great color! Hopefully you do get it in 7 weeks. I'm sure the dealer knows what they're talking about.

Another great shot, David. I'll be shooting a few with my Canon Rebel XT when the car comes in. I have the Canon 17-40L & just picked up a Canon 10-22mm EF-S that should give the Mini an interesting photo perspective.

Thanks.

That's a great camera and some nice glass you have. I really like my 12-24 for taking pictures of the MINI, I'm sure both those lenses will serve you very well. If you don't already have one, get yourself a circular polarizer to help minimize reflections on the 170 hp three dimensional mirror you just ordered. Be sure to post pictures of your new MINI in the camera and video forum when you get it.

Again, Pepper White is definitely one of my favorite MINI colors. It interacts in some very special ways with light at dusk.

and next to chili red ;-) it's a wonderful color, buy I had to laugh a bit when I saw you got the cold weather pkg. You see I live in Maine and I'm on my second winter without the cold weather pkg. No problems at all even at 20 below zero(and I'm fairly confident S.C. doesn't get quite that cold). Do wish they offered the ctr arm rest for the '05, but I can't quite bring myself to fork over $300 for one now. By the way what do the rear fog lights do for you? I understand the front ones function.

Welcome to the PW club! Look at my gallery for picks of an '06 PW/B MCS!!!

The rear fog light is useful as it completes the bank of switches below the stereo head unit!!!

Call me afraid...but going from a Suburban down to this size made me get the rear fog so everyone ELSE could (possibly) see me. I've had Healey Bug-Eye Sprites, MGB-GT, Triumph TR3 and 280Z...so I've had small cars...but not in many years.

And Fred...I got the cold weather pkg 'cuz my wife wanted the heated seats. (If she ever gets to drive it...

DiD...I do have a circular Pol. thin mt Hoya SMC so I can use with the wide angles. 77mm is a hunk of glass & money! I'll be following your work for ideas on shots of my MCS when it arrives. Your work is great!
