Hi, my name is Don and I've recently become a Mini-holic. I tried to resist, but after one short week I went from lurking in your forums to actually ordering one. Is there a remedy? Any cure at all in sight? Or do I just give in?

Last night I ordered an '06 S convertible in pure silver, black top, LSD, cold weather, on-board computer, black/gray leatherette with anthracite, xenons and rear fog. I think they're throwing in the molded rubber and "S" floor mats. Total tax-free price in the mid-$25k's. Delivery should be early November.

Can't wait to get it here and report my first impressions.

Donna/Mike - Yeah, it IS a fun car! Can't wait for it to get here. Bummer that I have to wait for November for delivery, but not much I can do about that... Obviously, tax-free sales are popular!


The OldMan - Isn't there always? :-> I'm just here as a civilian employee of the Dept. of Army, in the IT field. Been here 4 years now and have one or possibly 3 left... Heidelberg is a very nice area and I've enjoyed this tour. Did almost 17 years in Italy from '82-'98, damn near half my life overseas now! Amazing.

It's nice when someone asks you, if you've had the car for while, if you still enjoy it as much as when you got it. Of course I still love it! And if I do get tired of it I'll get a new mod and it'll be like a new car all over again!

 

Bakerman, I know what you mean. I've been very lucky to have owned a LOT of nice cars, having lived overseas, and even having said that, I'm REALLY looking forward to this one... Here's a partial list, in reverse chrono order!

The wait is the hardest part Don. I would find myself almost sleepwalking to my car and driving to the dealer and sleeping by their door the week my car came!! haha Congrats.
