Today I received my "Welcome to the Neighborhood" kit, exactly 7 weeks since I picked up my car. Just thought I'd share what's in it, in case there are different versions.....

It was all bound by a black Let's Motor rubberband, and wrapped in red tissue paper inside the box. So does everybody get the same things, or do they swap it up?

 

I think it's changed over the years, but that's what I got in my kit. I took delivery mid-May.

 

My welcome arrived today,exact same contents.

 

Just got my kit today also! They must ship them out in bunches. Had all the same stuff in mine. My favorite item is the unauthorized owner's manual

I am new here--just got my '05 Mini Chili Red w/White Top 2 weeks ago.

Received mine Friday also after about 8 weeks. It had the same stuff except for the pen. Mine is just a black pen that says LET'S MOTOR.

Any chance you could post a pic of the black pen? The only problem about the floaty pen is it doesn't fit in the clips inside the glove box.

 

Nope, but it fits in the pen holder, in the owner's manual bag, in the glovebox.

Hey, a second kit That's not fair. I had to buy a second MINI to get a second kit

 

Got my MINI on July first; got my welcome kit on August 13th. Same stuff as everyone else, including the neat pen. I was surprissed that the kit arrived via U.S. Mail, without the box being beat up (and the box was not in a protective box). Shows the postal service respects MINI's-or something like that. Anywayz, it put a smile on my face.

 

Is this a MINI USA thing, or do we lowly Canadians get fun stuff like that too?

 

I took delivery at the end of July and I got mine today! That's less than a month!

Got my kit today!

 

I finally got my kit, it arrived today and made me happy despite me "expecting' it.
I can only imagine what a super surprise it has to be for those MINI owners who don't subscribe to forums like this and thus don't know what "is or might be" coming.

My Welcome kit arrived today (08-22-05), a couple of days short of five weeks since buying my '05 MC. Same stuff as described in the first post.
It made a very positive impression on my wife... and me too, but then I already have a really positive impression

Yes, that is exactly what I have in mine. A friend received a nice stainless steel mug that fits into the tiny cup holders under the toggle switches, but I was able to find the same mug,(minus MINI logo), at a local store. :smile:
