New owner of '03 MC.

Recently purchased a 2003 MC that is British Racing Green w/White Roof, Mirrors & Rims. I love driving the car so much it's bound to get me in trouble soon.
One question about the Rain Sensor, how do you get it to work? I definitely have the rain sensor on my windshield but when I click the wipers on it acts more like an intermittent wiper and never shuts off. Is something wrong here?
Also how expensive is it to buy replacement run-flats?

If the wipers aren't shutting off, the sensor might be misconfigured. Take it in to the dealership to have it looked at.

I would surely give you guidance... aside from the fact that I haven't gotten my bloody car yet... BUT I did want to say, that is the most kickin' name!!! Have any good Cherry Pie lately?

See you 'round Agent Cooper.

Welcome aboard!! Congrats on your new motoring machine.

Sorry I can't help you with the rain sensing wiper issue as we don't have them on our MINIs, but it sounds like a trip to the dealer might be in your future. Depending on the dealership closest to you, maybe a phone call to the Service Dept. might give you some answers before you make a trip there..

intermittent must be on the "on" position

rain sensor is not very sensitive, it usually does not wor with a mist. If the sensor is on. and water is left on top of the sensor behind the rear view mirror, it may stay on until the water dries....

runflats will run you about 333 each, usually cheaper to replace all four with softer rubber.

My rain sensor works great, including with a mist! Hmmmmm....

Welcome to NAM, Spec. Agt. Cooper! Happy motoring!

No, bad I had a damn fine cup of coffee quite recently.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will be calling my closet dealer soon. Too bad I don't need an oil change for another 7000 miles.

Whoa, where are you buying those runflats? $333???

Just go to http://www.tirerack.com, fill in your cars info and they will show you tires and prices. Should be in the $150 - $250 range each depending upon performance vice all-season

Well, I had to pay $200.00 for a replacement runflat. $333.00 sounds like a little high to me:(
