my new '05 MCS was scheduled to get into port in LA yesterday or today! i'm trying to call 888-ASK-MINI to get an update, but it seems to be broken - is it just me? earlier today it was like a fax machine was answering, now i get either nothing, or a busy signal.

UPDATE: nevermind, i'm a moron, it's 866 not 888, been a while since i called (obviously!).

Was working for me this morning, although it said my vehicle was at the port waiting for shipping but its been at sea for 20 days so unless it turned around and went back, there is some mistake.

 

ukpylot! I'm in the same boat as you, I too have been En Route since the 18th of July. Today I call and now I'm at the dock awaiting transport!? Whats up? Has this happened to ayone else?

 

Supposedly, the Awaiting at Dock means that you arrived in the US, and are waiting to go go the VDC - this happened to me just the other day or so. The OL said VDC, and get this - my MINI arrived at the dealership the 8th! Can't pick the MINI up, though, until the 15th : (

 

mine too has been on the boat since 7/18! i bet we were on the same boat. theoretically it was supposed to dock in LA on the 7th or 8th, so we're both probably at the MDC right now.

 

uruk! Thanks for that... i was beggining to stress out a bit. :smile: too bad you can't get it any sooner. As it stands right now, I'm scheduled to fly up to Portland on the 27th to pick up mine.

etak, We were probably on the same ship I bet, though I could never find out what that ship was... Here's hoping we're already throught the VDC and on some steenkin trucks!!!

No, but 2'll get cha to Vehicle Production Status, 0 to the human operator, and both options seem to take the computer just a bit longer than talking.

Plus, when you key in your Prod# or vin, the computer asks you if it's a VIN or Prod#!!!

 

Absolutly, both land line and cell. As well as my MINI dealer!
