How Long After "En Route"

Hey folks,

I've been religiously checking the Mini owners lounge, waiting for my Mini's status to change. It went to "En Route" about 2 weeks ago. I was just looking for more info on how much longer it should be before it shows up here in the states.

Also, if anyone has tips on how to get more info online, I would appriciate that as well

You can check what ship it was on and then track the ship, it takes about 13 to get to SC if thats your final destination.

Luckily, my ship just docked today with the car on it. THough I am not too sure how long it will take to get from the ship to the dealer. I am assuming that it will take about 2 weeks to get there. Hopefully sooner and I can get the car by the 1st of august??

Thanks guys

Although I guess now a better question would be "How did you find out what ship it was on?" I've got the vin # etc if that helps. Was there a site you went through or did you call the dealer?

I put my VIN# in the shipping site and just get:

No tracking information is available for the Cargo ID you entered

Guess it's time for a call to mini to see what the deal is.

Well, I talked to the ASK MINI people and they said it left port on June 23rd and that my dealer should have more info. Called the dealer and they just said that the only info is that it should be here "any day now"

errgg...too much anticipation! >_<

WOW!! That is a long trip. I hope that mine won't take that long since it left port on the 12th and came into NY on the 20th. I am hoping it'll be here soon.

Do I have to make a name up for the car like everyone else???

Woo! My Owner's Lounge tracking status changed to "At Distribution Center" today. So that's from June 23rd to July 26th to make the trip.

Anyone know how long the cars stay at the distro centers and where those centers are (for the west coast)?

Yesterday my dealer in SoCal described the whole wait like this:

7 days in production
7 days at dock
23 days travel
7 days at port and transit to dealer = arrival in about 6.5-7 weeks total

congratulations!!

BTW the BMW VPC is in Port Hueneme, near Oxnard/Ventura. Once they're on the truck they should be in your area in a day! I took a tour of the VPC once -- very cool place.
