It's been two weeks since I placed my order for a Mini Cooper Convertible. When I check the status of the vehicle under the "owners lounge" on MINIUSA.com, it still shows it as "on order". For those of you who have order a convertible, what has been you experience regarding the wait time. I thought that the status would have changed to "scheduled for production" by now. I'm starting to wonder if the car will really be here in 8 weeks, as the dealer told me.

Not sure about the Convertible, but I got my production number on June 2nd, and on the Website it still tells me 'On Order'... I'm starting to get kinda down about it...

 

Hrm, I have no idea... I order June 11th, and went into production just a few days later. Now I'm just waiting on a boat. I order just a MC, no convertible or S model, that maybe why, but who knows?

 

I ordered my MCS on 6/3 (I think) and still On Order. I almost wish there was no owner's lounge. I am getting bored of checking.


My best advice is to call MINI USA (sorry but I don't have the number handy) and ask them for more info. Someone here recommended that to me and when I called they said it may enter production the week of 7/4. That is next week... let's see.

 

Yeah, call 1-866-ASK-MINI. They know FAR more than the MINI website does. I also ordered on June 11th and found that my car will be "on order" until mid-august.

It's true that the wait is much shorter for an MC than it is for an MCS, MCc, or MCSc.
