Hello From Colorado Springs!
Hi all!
I'm a new MINI owner here in Colorado Springs. Just wanted to say "hey" and let you all know my baby is now "on order" (as of 06/11/2005) and should come to me sometime in September! Can't wait 'till it's here so I can go motoring with anyone in the area!
Are there any other soon-to-be MINI Motorists in the Colorado (Ralph Schomp) area?

BBoy - welcome! You need to check out the Colorado Springs chapter of MINI5280 - PM me if you want details.
We have an '04 Dark Silver/Black MCS loaded; on the list at Schomp to order a new MCS convertible. Hoping for a September delivery or so. . .but we can motor in the hardtop for now!
There are quite a few MINIs popping up here in COS - I've recently seen an EB/B rolling up Union in the evening. Clean car, looks nice. What part of town are you in, north? South? Doesn't matter - there are drives coming up this summer. . .just keep an eye on the calendar.
Let us know about your order - color, packages, etc. - and keep us updated on the build status, etc.

Ooops... forgot to give ya the specs!
Here's the run down:
2005 HB/W MC (I'd be streatching my budget thin if I went for an MCS
)
Premium Package (love the sunroof / steeringwheel)
Sport Package (Sports seats, foglights, DSC and the bigger wheels for a bargin!)
Cold Weather Package (a must here in Colorado!)
Chrome exterior lining
Chrome interior lining
Black letherette seats (looked / felt just like real leather to me...)
Anthracite interior paneling
Anthracite headliner (gives me the all-black interior)
Rear foglight (wanted to fill the last empty toggle switch spot)
Harmon Kardon sound system w/AUX input (I was SO dissapointed to hear that the iPod adapter doesn't show the song name on the sterio. My current sterio's iPod adaptor does, but it's design just wouldn't go with the beutifull mini interior!)
All that together gives me what I would consider my Perfect MINI!
Sweet deal on the convertible! How long have you been wait-listed? I don't know if I could have that kind of patience. I ordered less than a week ago and the wait is already driving me mad! It seems to me that since Schomp is the only MINI dealership in Colorado, they should get more slots so they don't have to wait-list so many people!
Anyway, I'll definatly be checking out the Rocky Mountain club... Just gotta wait until September for my baby to come!

We've been on the list about a month - if we didn't already have the '04 MCS the wait would be intolerable!!! We're going up to Schomp today to browse around. . .gotta remember to take my camera. If it warms up today (cool and foggy right now) I'm going to clean up the MCS, claybar, new wax, etc. Gonna wash the other cars, too, but the MINI gets all the lovin'!!
