Not to confuse things, but one of our local owners has a EB/B and it is really, really awesome looking...and an unusual combo, imo! I'd bet few would argue that JB would be a bit more work to keep clean...but then it's not about the work, it's about the love!!!

Ya know, Andy.............(buddy)..............you really need to agonize over this. I mean REALLY!!!! This is a defining moment for your MINI...and for you as a soon-to-be owner. This is where the bonding really begins! I will say this...if you really sweat bullets over this, it'll all come back to you when your exact, unique MINI arrives. It...will...be...love!!! And one, two, three years later you'll still love your MINI like the first moment you saw it........all because of this gut-wrenching, emotional gauntlet you're running.

Embrace your pain!!!

Here's a very dewy Wanda!

Took this piccie of my beautiful all-Jet Black Wanda one morning at YuccaPatrol's home in Birmingham, Alabama, during my recent cross-country roadtrip. It shows off her new chrome bonnet stripes!

If you love detailing, you will love all-Jet Black! I think Electric Blue/Black with black bonnet stripes and black or anthracite rims would be gorgeous, as well. The Electric Blue shows the least dirt of all the colors, too! Either way, you will be happy!

And it is really "normal" to go through the color choice dilemma. Many of us have done the same!

It seems to me that the only acceptable reason for choosing black is if you are a die hard Oakland Raiders fan

Wanda also has a metallic greytone Union Jack sunroof flag, and I'll bet some folks assume I'm a Raiders fan.......I'M NOT!

I liked 'em when they were originally in Oakland and was thrilled when they were in Los Angeles...but am tired of them and their nutty owner now......YUCKO!

i found this to be a beautiful post! thanks for the advice as that is exactly my plan. I obsess over every little option going back and forth and back again. Its a torture I almost enjoy. Tomorrow I am sure will be a continuation with the color with a nice transition into "Antracite v. Silver". Its always something else!

Ooooh....the anthracite vs. silver is one of my favorite discussions! I have had both! Believe me, you want the anthracite, especially if you are getting the Jet Black MINI. If you are going with Electric Blue, get an Electric Blue dash...

yeah everyone seems to love the antracite.i liek a lighter color of silver interior but we'll see. But you are right... gotta get the blue interior with the EB! forgot about that

but why is the antracite so popular?? For example people love the headliner too but I prefer the light feel of the creme

The anthracite is sturdier than the silver. I had the silver in my first MINI, and it scratched/chipped too easily. I love the anthracite and if you get it, the anthracite headliner with it is VERY stealth and sexy!

Yeah i love it. Just today I went to a Mazda dealership cause my lady is possibly looking at one (a MINI is on her possible list too) and I just had a bad taste in my mouth. The guy knew almost nothing about the car, he was creepy, and all the cars sat their like steaks. Choose which one you like the best.... which one looks the most tender. All have been sat in, driven...all that stuff. The MINI is mine from the second I conceive it. I wouldnt consider anything else!

Plus I dont think I have ever joined a forum where there was so much welcome and a sense of community. You guys are great!

Whew! Wet Wanda! That's tongue-wagging material right there, with the chrome stripes too! Talk about "auto-eroticism", someone better alert a mod! Oh wait She IS a mod!

Dang, girl, that sure is pretty,
Tatt

After having a black car, it is certainly a challenge to keep looking good, but it looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO good when it's clean! I also agree that there don't seem to be that many black MINIs (and especially black on black) around, so it would be nice to be different. I vote for Black, and all those pics posted in this thread sure make it look good!

Andy, here are a few Electric Blue MINIs at the AMVIV2 Meet in March. This piccie was taken on the roof of the parking lot at the Palace Station in Las Vegas. Hope this helps a bit!

I'm bias

Jet Black w/ white roof and mirrors. While I've see an all black cooper and she was very pretty, I just think that white roof/mirrors are part of the brand or trade mark of the car.

Sadly.............because I truly love them both...............if it were me I'd go with EB/B. Easier to keep clean, not that common, looks fantastic. But then I'm not a "sleek hotness" kinda guy.....cheeky is my thing. Besides the gf likes EB too, right? EB is a fun color, but that black roof does give it a bit more attitude. Nice.

I know....we are confusing things even more, aren't we?
