Just bought a 2005 Mini S, I'm know nothing about this car really but hopefully i can lean alot from this site. How much power can the automatic handle? Thanks!

Congratulations and welcome to the 05 club

 

Well, it was ordered about 10 weeks ago. We picked it up last thursday. I'll post pictures as soon as I get a digital camera! It's Dark silver with black roof/mirrors, Driving lights, chrome trim. Is Alta a good company for mini parts? I bought a cat-back exhaust from perrin(alta) for my wrx and it sounds awesome.

I have an Alta 15% reduction pulley, so yeah....I think Alta's products are good! Your MINI sounds awesome....go get the digicam!

As for how much power the Auto can handle. I have one and haven't heard of to many people who have modded them very much yet.

 

Congrats on the 05. I am hoping to order an 06 as soon as they spec them out. Any reason you choose an 05 rather than waiting a couple of more months for the new ones?

 

congrats on the new MINI!!! alta is a very good company, both their supercharger reduction pulley's and cold air intakes are very very highly regarded, i haven't heard as much about some of their other products, so i can't comment on them. but i loved the CAI on my 04, and the pullied cars i've driven have been SOOOOO fast. watch out, modding is a slippery slope
