Marina del Rey checking in...
Hi folks. I'm another newbie MINI owner, but no stranger to on-line car forums. I previously owned a supercharged BMW M Roadster and a TurboXS Stage 4-equipped Subaru WRX. Prior to that, I owned one of the first supercharged Acura Integra's backin the day. Sold the cars when we moved from DC/VA to NYC. Having just moved to the LA region, I felt the need to motor in a MINI was too great to ignore any longer. Thus, I ride among you now. It is my honor to join such an esteemed group.

Welcome ///Mini. I live up in Topanga, and motor around the Marina and Santa Monica area all the time. Look for a Hot Orange totally chromed-out Cooper S Convertible...
Welcome. And yes, the modding never stops...

Thanks, folks. So far, I've been really confused by the lack of acknowledgement from other MINI drivers in my area. They must think I'm some weirdo waving to them. When I had my M Roadster, other fellow M Roadsters usually offered a wave and smile upon encountering another like-minded driver. No matter, I will wave and wave and wave until one of you bastards reciprocates.

///Mini,
Welcome. Maybe I will see you around. And don't worry about people not being friendly around here. Most of them got foreign objects of corncobb or stick variety stuck up their collective *****. My theory on this is that they bought the car for the wrong reasons anyway. But if you see Eguinn #33 feel free to get my attention.

Welcome,
Wavers are sadly becoming a rare breed. But there are those of use that will always wave like maniacs...even at the risk of looking like an idiot to a "non-waver".
Happy motoring!

Glad to hear that there are a few of you locals out there who are still enthusiastic about your MINI's. I have just ordered (and excited to see and drive) a new MINI. I, too, live in Topanga and can't wait to drive 9 miles of twisties to get to the coast highway on my way to work in Santa Monica.
Been out of the loop lately. I put the stockers back on the MINI because the ride was just too harsh and the potholes too plentiful. Also, my wife has adopted the MINI and I hardly get a chance to drive it anymore. I'm usually tooling around on my motorcycle or scooter nowadays.
I'll still wave at you, though.
Cheers!
