Cooper Dreaming Already

Hello to everyone.
Just took the plunge and ordered a 05 MCS. I am so stoked that I am having trouble sleeping just thinking about driving it. haha Waking up dreaming about it is nuts. And I only ordered it yesterday. Cooper44, Thanks to for pushing me over the edge to just get it.
Specs as per normal first post
05 Cooper S 6 spd
Hyper Blue with matching top and Mirrors
Black Bonnet stripes
Silver Gray/Black Leatherette
Hyper Blue interior
Cold Weather (heated seats, mirrors, washer jets)
Sport Package ( DSC, 17"'s, Fog Lights, Xenon's)
Premium Package (Multi Steering wheel, Moon roof, auto AC, computer)
Limited Slip
Rear Fog
Sport link bike rack on the back to finish it off
I feel as if 6 weeks will take forever
I look forward to picking brains here and driving even more.

6 weeks is not a long wait for a MINI. Mine has been a lot longer. But I found that hanging out on NAM provides me with enough MINI matters to distract me from even thinking of the car itself. Indulge in NAM for your MINI fix each day. Best wishes.

Thanks Guys. It seems that is what my plan is, to spend a crazy amount of time here on NAM. Cant wait to find out all the little quirky things about the Cooper. Plus all the mods that I can start saving for.

No one explained the nomenclature to me, but I believe it is as follows:

Mini is the original small car paradigm.
MINI is the current production version of the Alec Issigonis creation.
MCS is the supercharged version.
Cooper is the normally aspirated version.

So when you mention Cooper folks might assume you are referring to the normally aspirated MINI.

I hope Clover reviews this and sets us straight.

That's it?!?!?!?! Try 12! Try 24! Try 48! (OK, I couldn't handle more then 12, but I know some people do!) ... The last 8 weeks for me has been hard, but I couldn't have done it without NAM. Ohh wait, and I have a CR/W already

Congrats on the new ride, you'll love it!!!

Well the dealer told me about 6 weeks which is an average, but Cooper44 is one of my good friends and he too is in Charlotte,NC. He got his Chili Red MCS in about 5 weeks from the same dealer (a week early). So I am hoping on 6 weeks. (keeping fingers crossed now)
Thanks for everything

ANY time spent waiting for your beloved MINI can seem like an eternity! What needs to happen during this time is that you must drain yourself of what little sanity you have left after wading through, and finally deciding upon, spec/options/colors. NAM can help with this a lot. Informative , fun, and highly dysfunctional ...NAM'll prepare you well for first motoring. Welcome!!!!

As an offical MCS owner (took delivery yesterday), welcome to NAM.

I waited 4 months, if it was not for the people here, I would have really gone nuts.

There is a lot of great info here, be sure to check out all the forums!

Delivery Time!

Delivery time mostly depends on the weather...remember they arrive by ship. Heavy seas = sea sick MINI's. Good luck on the 5week period. When it's over you'll be on top of the World MOTORING!!
