Future owner saying hi

I currently own an 02' S2000 (weekend warrior), 05' Legacy GT (my car), and 89' MR2 (wifes car). When I get the Legacy payed off, I want to get my wife a Cooper S to replace the good old MR2. I have driven both the base Cooper and S, and love them both. But me being the person I am must have the S , and my wife also likes the looks of the S more, so it's win-win. I've already optioned out an S the way I want it, and can't wait to finally pull the trigger on one. It'll probably be a coule years, but I like to do my homework and research cars before I buy them. So I'm just saying hi, and hopefully I'll be a part of the mini family sooner than later.

-Mike

Hi. Welcome to NAM.
My wife's car is a 99 Legacy Outback sedan and it's a GREAT car, but it's not a patch on the MCS for fun.

Good luck on waiting-

I have been waiting for 9 months after made the decision for delivery. Maybe the waiting list will be shorter due to the plant expanion plans, but my recommendation is start the process ASAP. Or you can wait until 2007, when I believe they are changing the engine.

Good LucK!!

Yeah, my decision has been a long time in the making as well... But I'm at the end of my journey, pretty much. Looking to order in the next month or so! WOOHOO!

Birthday

Here's what I did. I told my wife that I was buying a MCS for my 50th birthday in June. Which she said that sounds great. And then I proceed to place the order in Jan and now I'm just weeks away from joining the Mini family. Thank's to all of the NAM folks, they made this wait go fast.

It looks like some time next week no later than the second week in March. I've already signed up for the Dragon. After driving a 36hp 1958 VW back and fourth to car shows for the past 3 years. I can't wait to put the metal to the petal.
